Sept - Fayette
Extended Trip
We will make an extended trip starting on Sept 10th. We will spend some time at a few of the marinas, time on the islands, and end at Stone Harbor for Harbor Fest. Any Takers ?
 |
Cedar River will be the first stop.
We’ll leave Friday afternoon and stop at Cedar River
for the evening. Check gas and be ready to leave Saturday morning.
We will either grill out or try the local restaurant.
Friday – 50 mi.
|
 |
Gladstone will be our second stop.
We’ll spend Saturday at Gladstone and check out the area.
Plan a couple of meals, a few adult beverages, and leave
sometime Sunday morning.
We’ll fuel up at our next stop.
Saturday – 40 mi.
|
 |
Escanaba is the third stop.
We’ll fuel our boats here, pump out, and add fresh water.
Find a place to eat, or grill out. Spend Sunday here.
We will have plenty of time, the trip back to Escanaba is only
8 miles from Gladstone.
Sunday – 8 mi

 |
Fayette is the fourth stop.
This is the main reason we’re making this trip, we’ll spend Monday and Tuesday at the “Ghost Town”.
|
 |
 |
We are hoping for some good weather to pull this off. We do have a couple of alternatives. We can skip Cedar River
and go straight to Gladstone. We could also stop at Menominee if the weather turns sour. Gladstone or Escanaba
can be changed. Horseshoe Island, our next stop could also be sacrificed.
Monday and Tuesday – 30 mi.
|
 |
Horseshoe Island is the fifth stop.
We’ll stop off at Horseshoe for a relaxing evening Thursday
night before leaving Friday morning.
If all goes as planned, we may spend an extra night
somewhere, or make it to Horseshoe on Wednesday.
Thursday – 48 mi.

Stone Harbor in Sturgeon Bay – Last Stop.
If we pull most of it off, this will be a super
trip. Good food, old cars, music, and a few
adult beverages.
After being out for a week this will be a nice
way to end a week’s worth of boating.
We hope a few more join us. If not for the whole trip,
for the stay at Stone Harbor. We had most of the club
there last year and would like to see at least that
many this year.
Friday and Saturday – 30 mi.
