Oconto Yacht Club

Oconto Yacht Club – Our Home Port This is a summer photo of most of the club’s grounds. OYC is in a park like setting. All slips have plenty of "Green Space" and most have trees close to the slips. We have plenty of picnic tables, play areas for children, some set up tents for the kids and grandkids to spend an overnight in. We have a fire pit on the river side to enjoy evenings socializing and a large grill for club meals. This is a nicely sheltered club with a well supplied club house for the members. The members at this club enjoy taking boating trips together, we have several that are done as a club and plan on adding and changing the trips to include some new areas for 2009. We are a family type club with children and pets welcome. You’ll enjoy the friendships you develop here.

OYC’s Lagoon Section The Lagoon section is also well kept with the members keep their area neat, trimmed, and most have a flower garden by the slips. This area also is a park like area with trees close to many of the slips. There are plenty of picnic table in the area, a small play area for kids, and plenty of room for the pets to get exercise. The Lagoon is a very sheltered area where you can relax with a cocktail, good "Oldies" music, and many friends to share the time with. This is great way to sit back and plan a weekend trip.

OYC’s Riverside

The Riverside of the club has nice views of the river and Ajax Island. Very nice park area with many trees. As a working club the members take great pride in the area by their slips. Most keep a flower garden, and at all times the clubs grounds are neat and trimmed.

In the photo club members are filling in the area by the well. The well is used to launch and retrieve boats. The fueling station, pump-out, fire-pit, and club grill are on the riverside.

Club House

The club house kitchen is fully furnished. All the cooking utensils you’ll need. Just clean what you use, and replace what you take. We have a stove, oven, microwave, coffee pots, dishwasher, and a very roomy area to create in.

Club members enjoy evening cookouts, suppers in the club, and there is always coffee ready in the morning. We have some really good cooks here and if you go away hungry it’s not our fault, there is always enough for everyone.

Some very nice meals pass through this kitchen as members will often set up meals for the club meetings or special events.
